An allegedly coordinated attack on Twitter targets Binance, CZ, Gemini and others

A tweet from Binance’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, also known as CZ, suggests that suspicious activity was detected both in his account and on Binance’s official Twitter page.

„Don’t click this link,“ tweeted CZ this July 15th from his personal account, providing a link to a recent post from Binance’s apparently hacked Twitter account, warning the public.

„Report the @Binance account immediately,“ added CZ. Minutes later the tweet was removed from the warning.

The Binance account made an odd tweet
As linked by CZ, Binance’s account published about a strange partnership and offered a „giveaway“ to give away BTC. The giveaways are thrown as a telltale sign to play dirty, specifically, it is almost always a kind of trap to scam.

„We’ve partnered with CryptoForHealth and want to give 5,000 Iq Option to the community,“ Binance tweeted from his main Twitter account today, generating suspicion. Minutes after CZ’s warning, he tweeted the same thing, this time on his own account.

Cointelegraph contacted Binance for more details on the situation. Updates will follow, pending a response.
